The Museum of Byzantine Art contains important pieces and is housed in the church of the Virgin Antivouniotissa.Climb the steps to the church door and glance backwards to the sea and Albania's mysterious coastline.
The elegant Liston, built by the French is the place to be for the Corfiots and you can enjoy an aperitif in one of the elegant cafès and watch the people go by. Just look across the square to the Palace of St.Michael and St. George which is now home to the Museum of Asiatic Art. The Palace's terrace has now been transformed into a cafè, an attractive meeting point for tourists and locals.
